The Christian Institute of Spiritual Science
The Christian Institute of Spiritual Science is a nondenominational church located at 1308 Second Street in Santa Monica, one block from the Third Street Promenade. We welcome all faiths, spiritual experiences and backgrounds. If you don't fit easily into organized religion, this is the church for you.

The Christian Institute of Spiritual Science is a nondenominational church with a universalist philosophy based on a literate understanding of Christianity and world religions. We practice spiritual improvement of the individual through prayer, meditation and esoteric study.

Sandwiched between Ocean Avenue and the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, the Christian Institute is located in one of the most walkable and breathable spots in the Los Angeles area. Come visit us for regular Sunday service or reach out to us with any questions about our spiritual practice.
Calendar
We hold regular service at our Santa Monica location Sundays at 11 a.m., but that’s only one way we connect with the community. We also have film screenings and discussions, inspirational readings, and more. Check our calendar to see upcoming events.

Our virtual library contains prayers, meditations, letters and lectures from the church’s history. We regularly update it to reflect the changing seasons of the spiritual year.
