Held in our community classroom, this six-week course uses lectures, discussions, readings and exercises to explore the art of writing in an in-depth yet accessible way. Each week focuses on a different aspect of writing, from the basics of craft to literary appreciation and philosophy.

This week’s topic is story. We will discuss what makes stories compelling and how storytelling makes us human, and we’ll end by practicing our own story pitching skills. Session followed by an opportunity to workshop anything you’re writing with the group.

Weekly attendance is not required, but it is encouraged. All you need is something to write with and a desire to start.
